The best pocket in Moroccan fashion
The qobb, the pointed hood of the djellaba, keeps the wind off your neck and carries the morning bread home. Here is the wardrobe vocabulary that goes with it.
Moroccan autumn mornings call for a heavy wool djellaba. Its defining feature is the qobb, the long pointed hood hanging down the back. Purists say it shields you from the wind, and the medina tells a second story. Step outside any morning bakery and you will spot that hood cradling two warm rounds of crusty bread. Try that with a trench coat.
